Savannah is a Senior Programme Officer within the Programmes Department. She joined ACCORD in September 2020.
Savannah holds her Master of Arts degree in Politics from the University of Cape Town. Savannah also holds her Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Political and International Relations from Rhodes University, where she also obtained her Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Journalism and Political and International Relations.
Savannah has been working on a project that seeks to strengthen the role that multi-dimensional stakeholders, such as youth, women and faith-based leaders, play in preventing and mitigating conflict. This includes conceptualising, implementing and reporting on various capacity building and dialogue initiatives to build peace. Savannah has also been a focal person for youth, peace and security at ACCORD, having hosted and moderated, as well as having been a panellist in, various events aimed at strengthening the youth, peace and security agenda.
Aside from implementation, Savannah has a keen interest in monitoring and evaluation, and
research.
